Northwest Bank Names Bradley Balmert as Pittsburgh Market Executive, Adds Four Experienced Bankers to Commercial Team

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania— With nearly two decades of banking and financial services experience, Bradley Balmert has been named senior vice president, Pittsburgh commercial market executive for Northwest Bank, a full-service financial institution offering a complete line of business and personal banking products.

In his role, Balmert will lead Northwest’s commercial business development throughout the Southwest Pennsylvania market, including an experienced team of commercial lenders and relationship managers. Passionate about providing complete banking solutions to businesses across a vast array of industries, Balmert is committed to connecting Northwest’s commercial clients with the financial tools, resources and guidance they need to grow a successful business."

Prior to joining Northwest, Balmert served as senior vice president and market manager at Huntington National Bank.

Balmert is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Active in his community, Balmert currently volunteers with the Mars Area Soccer Club and is a 36th Class graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh.

Balmert resides in Mars, Pennsylvania with his wife, Christina. The couple have two children, Brynn and Bryce.

Also joining the Pittsburgh-based Northwest commercial banking team are Paul Wargo, Justin Gatten and AJ Parker as senior vice presidents for commercial lending.



Wargo brings nearly 20 years of commercial banking experience to Northwest and most recently served as relationship manager and vice president of business banking for Huntington National Bank. He has also held positions at Citizens Bank, First Niagara Bank, Fifth Third Bank and National City Bank.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Pittsburgh and is an active loan review board member for the North Side Community Development Fund. Wargo resides in Seven Fields, Pennsylvania and has three children, Brenden, Caeden and Kylee.






Gatten joins Northwest with more than 18 years of corporate banking experience. Previously, he served in leadership roles at Huntington National Bank, Citizens Bank and WesBanco Bank. Active in the community, he currently serves on the board of directors of The Brownson House, Inc. and Southwest Job Training Agency, and has also served on the policy council and finance committee of Blueprints, Inc.

Gatten earned both his master of business administration and bachelor’s in finance from Kent State University.

Gatten is the son of Randy and Cheryl Gatten of Washington, Pennsylvania. Gatten also resides in Washington with his wife, Courtney, and son, Connor.




Parker brings more than eight years of banking and financial services experience to his role at Northwest. Prior to joining the Northwest commercial team, Parker held leadership development and relationship management positions at Dollar Bank, PNC, Citizens Bank and Huntington Bank.

He earned a bachelor’s in philosophy from Thiel College and currently resides in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania with his wife, Katie, and their son, Issac.
