Best Practices: Online and Mobile Banking Safety Tips

Keep your password unique. As noted in this month’s article “4 Ways to Avoid Online Fraud,” your password should be composed of numbers, letters, and symbols to avoid easy hacks. Only you should know your password.

Change is good. Change the password at least every two months.

Use antivirus and security software. Yes, it may cost a few extra dollars when you purchase your computer, but it’s worth the investment to make sure you are protected from viruses, spyware, Trojans and other ways to get inside your machine.

Monitor your accounts daily. See any suspicious activity? Report it to Northwest immediately. If you suspect something is amiss, contact Northwest Direct at 1-877-672-5678.
