Northwest Bank Makes Donation to Allegheny Health Network, Provides Distraction Art for Pediatric Expansion at Wexford Hospital

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Northwest Bank, a full-service financial institution offering a complete line of business and personal banking products, today announced a $12,000 donation in support of Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) pediatric expansion at Wexford Hospital.
Expanded pediatric services at AHN Wexford will provide families with convenient access to high-quality orthopedic, ENT and inpatient care for children with acute medical conditions. The expansion also includes specialized accommodations for neurodiverse pediatric patients.
Northwest Bank’s contribution helped fund a distraction art installation feature for a pediatric room on the third floor of Wexford Hospital. The piece, created by ArtLine Ltd, was installed on the ceiling to resemble a bright sky filled with beautiful kites. Art installations such as these improve the patient experience by serving as a welcome distraction from treatment, helping reduce stress, anxiety and pain.

The expansion of our pediatric services, which allows children to receive the overnight care they need close to home, is a significant milestone for the community and would not be possible without the help of generous donors such as Northwest Bank.”
