At Northwest, we offer insurances to help you take care of you and your family in the event of an unexpected catastrophic event, a comprehensive counseling services to address significant life problems you and your eligible dependents may experience, as well as various employee discount programs to help you save.
Group Term Life Insurance
The life insurance benefit amount is based on your job grade or employee status.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance – Full-Time Employees Only
AD&D provides coverage if you are seriously injured in an accident and suffer the loss of limbs or eyesight or if death occurs due to an accident. Your beneficiary will receive the benefit amount that is based off of your salary or employee status. Benefit amounts vary from 50 percent to the full amount depending on whether it is a death or dismemberment claim.
Business Travel Accident Insurance
This insurance provides an Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit if you are involved in an accident while traveling on company business. However, it does not provide coverage if you are involved in an accident while commuting to and from work.
Disability Benefits – Full-Time Employees Only
If you become medically disabled, you may be eligible to receive a reduced percentage of your eligible compensation based on your years of service provided the necessary documentation is submitted and approved. Disability benefits may continue until you are medically able to return to work subject to some limitations.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP offers 24/7 comprehensive counseling services to address significant life problems of employees and eligible dependents for issues such as mental and behavioral health issues, alcohol and substance abuse, loss and grief, family violence and domestic abuse, stress management, and childcare issues.
If obtained through Northwest, subject to certain eligibility requirements, additional benefits may be offered on accounts and loans with Northwest, cell phone plan discounts, etc.
