Groundbreaking of Together to House Supportive Housing Development

Northwest Bank Celebrates Groundbreaking of Together to House Supportive Housing Development in Muncie, Indiana

MUNCIE, Ind. (August 10, 2026) — Northwest Bank joined community leaders, housing advocates and development partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of Together to House, a transformative permanent supportive housing development that will bring 34 new homes and comprehensive support services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Muncie, Indiana. The approximately $14 million project is designed to help make homelessness rare and brief by providing stable housing paired with on-site care and

ources for residents. Located across two sites in Muncie, Together to House includes 19 newly constructed one- bedroom apartments on Memorial Drive and the restoration of the historic Harrison School on Liberty Street into 15 additional one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The development combines housing with rental assistance and supportive services including case management, primary and behavioral health care, recovery support and peer counseling provided through Open Door Health Services, a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of life for others.

Northwest Bank is providing the construction financing that is helping bring the project to life. The development is led by Cours Capital, with Radiant CDC serving as co-developer and general contractor and Maxwell Construction as prime contractor, alongside public and private partners committed to addressing housing insecurity in the community.

“Together to House is possible because of the strong partnerships behind it,” said Andrew Walker II, president of community development at Cours Capital. “From financing and development to construction and supportive services, each partner is bringing something essential to the table so we can create housing that meets an urgent need in Muncie.”

“This project demonstrates what is possible when organizations come together around a shared commitment to strengthen communities and create opportunities for people to thrive,” said Shawn Dorsey, head of commercial real estate banking at Northwest Bank. “At Northwest Bank, we believe permanent and supportive housing is a foundation for a stronger future. Together to House is more than a housing development. It is an investment in people, dignity and long-term community well-being.”

Together to House aligns with Northwest Bank’s commitment to helping communities prosper through meaningful investments that strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life. By supporting initiatives that address critical community needs, Northwest Bank continues to advance its mission of helping customers, communities and businesses achieve what’s next.

“This is the kind of work we want to keep building,” said Jasmine Rosal, commercial real estate commercial relationship manager at Northwest Bank. “Projects like Together to House allow us to use our financing capabilities in a way that supports real community needs and helps create lasting impact for the people and neighborhoods we serve.”
